ABOUT THE TEAMSTUDIO eF7 was established in March 2023. After graduating in architecture (Noor) and industrial design (Vera), we created a workspace in Noord to further pursue our creative endeavours. We opened the studio in Amsterdam-Noord to share our passion for jewellery design, silversmithing, and teaching. Our jewellery workshops offer a hands-on experience with different aspects of this traditional craft. We aim to inspire our guests to design and make their own unique wearable pieces and in turn, find ourselves inspired by their creativity and perspectives. This synergy is exactly what eF7 is all about.

Over the past two years, she has guided both beginners and experienced makers through more than 100 workshops.

SHELBY SIXSMITHDesign assistent/apprentice

Shelby is the Studio eF7 Assistant. With a background in industrial design, she spent years designing lighting and sustainable technology before working as an art director and creative strategist. Now she blends her diverse technical and design skills to craft compelling stories for brands through both digital and physical mediums. Shelby joined Studio eF7 to reconnect with her passion for hands-on making, bringing her early experience in silversmithing and sculpture back to the forefront. She is excited to develop her skills as a jewellery designer and learn from the team.

Susa started as intern at Studio eF7 and currently studying graphic design at HKU while also taking a part-time jewellery course at Schoonhoven. She blends her interests in visual design and jewellery making, bringing a fresh approach to the studio's projects. Susa is currently being trained by Studio eF7 to also become an independent instructor and develop her own jewellery identity. She is currently our social media manager.

Naroush is the host of our Stone Setting workshop. He is a Dutch jewellery designer with a passion for creating unique, sustainable pieces rooted in history and heritage. Over the years, he has refined his craft and mastered the intricate processes of designing and working with sterling silver. Naroush studied jewellery design with a specialization in gemstones at Vakschool Schoonhoven, and gained hands-on experience with renowned designers and vintage jewellery curators.

Pip hosts our wax carving workshops. She has a background in 3D fashion design, where her love for making first took shape. She later expanded her skills into ceramics and professional nail artistry, blending her diverse creative experiences into her work. Her strong spatial insight has helped her master wax techniques very quickly. Because of her skillset, Studio eF7  trained her to become the host for waxcarving workshops.

Floris co-hosts our Silversmithing workshop. He began learning the craft of goldsmithing independently and soon started working with several local goldsmiths. Driven by curiosity, he continuously explores new techniques and approaches within the field. Floris specialises in 3D modelling, creating digital designs that come to life through 3D printing and casting, finished with vibrant enamel.

Maxine co-hosts our Silversmithing workshop. She began learning jewellery making during her studies in Delft and has always been inspired by flora and fauna. Her profession as an ecological engineer has shaped her into a sustainable thinker with strong technical skills. Maxine is a thoughtful and creative person, able to help turn your concepts into reality with both precision and imagination.

Maya co-hosts our wax carving workshop and our gemstone & wax workshop. She was first inspired by her mother to learn the art of jewellery making. Currently working in financial crime prevention and also active as a DJ, jewellery making serves as a meditative, more solitary process that allows for play and reflection. Her preferred method is lost wax casting and she is always looking for new ways to experiment. Maya is super excited to share what she’s learned over the years and help others discover the joy in this craft.

Shaoyun was first inspired by a handmade antique silver ring she found in Antwerp. Her first experience with wax carving took place at the Studio eF7 workshop, sparking a deeper interest that led her to a systematic study of silversmithing, wax carving, and gemstone techniques. As a product designer, she explores the intersection of form studies and sludge-shaping techniques in her jewelry work, continually seeking new experiments and creative directions.

Nath is a Brazilian creative and maker based in Amsterdam. After many years working as a creative in the advertising industry, now she brings her passion across in pottery, jewelery and storytelling. With her handbuilding experience, she explores the intersection of ceramics and metal for organic shapes.

Mella began taking night classes in silversmithing in Wellington, New Zealand, and became enthralled by the process of creating something precious and beautiful by hand. She then moved to Auckland to study jewellery design and technology and went on to work as a manufacturing jeweller for two years, allowing her to develop her technical skills while continuing her own creative practice on the side. Mella is very interested in the personal connection people feel with the jewellery they wear.
