At STUDIO eF7, you'll have a wide range of gem options to choose from. We offer various shapes, materials and colours, such as clear, colourful, squared, heart-shaped, and even gold or white gold. You can select a gem or several gems that complement your style; from very subtle round silver crystals, to very extravagant shaped and coloured crystals or golden gems. Please take into account that you should contact us in advance for (white) gold gems; these are made to order on demand.
Your gem can only be placed on real teeth, no veneers, crowns or other materials! You can decide where you'd like to place a gem. However, we would give advice for the ideal location, considering aesthetics, durability, and comfort. If you wish to deviate from this, you may do so at your own risk.
Tooth gems are not permanent. They are applied with a dental adhesive and can last anywhere from a few months to a few years. In the rare event of a gem being damaged or lost due to manufacturing or placement defects, we will replace it free of charge within the warranty period. The warranty period is 14 days. Please inform us within these 14 days to make a new appointment. A (white) gold gem can’t be replaced. They will be replaced by a Swarovski crystal.
Remember that the longevity of a tooth gem can vary depending on factors such as your oral hygiene practices and your daily habits. Following these care instructions will help ensure that your tooth gem remains in good condition and continues to enhance your smile.
Be Cautious For the first 24 hours, try to consume food and drinks that are at room temperature. Extreme hot or cold temperatures can affect the adhesive's bonding.
Avoid certain foods/drinks
What you eat and your habits can affect the longevity of a tooth gem. Steer clear of sticky or chewy foods that could potentially dislodge the tooth gem. Avoid biting or chewing on hard objects, as this can put pressure on the gem and potentially cause it to dislodge. These might include chewing gum, caramels, appels or similar items.
Practice Good Oral Hygiene
Maintain your regular oral hygiene routine, but be gentle around the tooth gem. Brushing and flossing regularly can help prevent plaque and bacteria buildup around the gem, which might weaken the adhesive bond. You can continue to brush (not electric) and floss, but take care not to apply excessive pressure or disturb the gem.
Dental Care Products Ensure that the toothpaste and mouthwash you use are alcohol-free, as alcohol can weaken the adhesive.
Avoid Playing with the Gem
It's natural to be curious about the new addition to your smile, but avoid touching, twisting, or playing with the tooth gem as this can loosen it or even lead to its premature removal.
Monitor for Any Issues
Keep an eye on the tooth gem for any signs of loosening or discoloration. If you notice any problems, contact us or your dentist.
Limit Excessive Force
Avoid biting into hard objects or using your teeth to open things. Excessive force can lead to the gem coming loose.
